He needs 68 grill parts, maybe you two could work out a trade??

Thought the same thing after I posted it. I'd trade a whole car. How about it? Got a complete 1968 4dr Dart w/225 -6cyl auto.

Hi, thanks for your messagem. Here in Brazil is very common riveted rear breaks. But a friend told me that in new cars, rear breaks are glued.

I hope to get front seats tomorrow from the upsolthery shop. 3 months long to rebuild them, seats have a lot of details and everything is home made. I paid about $390 dolars (brazilian money currency; 1.8 reais = 1 dolar; 700 reais). A bunch of money but the cheaper I found, and a friend recommended this upsolthery shop. I think every cent I spent in my seats made me happy, because they are really nice.

Hy, thnaks for your message. I'm building the car saving money in the right things. For example, I spent a lot of money in new break cilinders, engine parts. But I think that home made things are the fun way to rebuild a car. My wife does not but... I really do a lot of noise.. She is wright.. She does not like my noise and durst.

Hi, thanks for you message. "brazilian dodge chargers" are expensive unfortunately. Good cars are costing more than 30,000 dollars.. cheaper ones are about 20,000.

Comparing to my dodge dart, they are tooo much expensive. a dodge dart costs half of a charger (about 10,000)

the last piece of floor pan I've built.

It will fit the center of the trunk. I have to weld a piece of sheet metal to hol center nut that holds spare wheel.

Now I hope to weld everything.. I wish I have a mig welder :(

Does your Dart not have a recess for the spare? Seems flat for trunk. (unless your not finished forming it)

Yes it does. But old owner cutted a piece of bottom metal recess.

So, I just need a flat piece about 50cm x 25cm (20" x 10")

I will try to take some photos today

Alex,

I'm from Brazil, near Porto Alegre, and only today I saw your brave ádventurous spirit" in restoring your dart, and congratulation is a small word to say for your job, at least !!!
As everybody saida here, keep up with the good work, and clean stuff you've made, my friend !!
Now I bought a 79 Dart, very similar to yours, but mine is a 2-door model, it belonged almost its life to my wife's family, was sold to a museum near here (Ulbra) in 1998, and now I managed to buy it back, only waiting for the judge final settlement to take the car...
You may see some pics of our babe in my profile,ok ?
If you may need something from here just shout, and we'll be pleased to help, huh ???
A big hug from the South of the Border !!!

Hi, Buzian.. Nice car!!!
It is amazing..

If you may need something from here just shout too!

Neto

Hi Neto, almost perfect portuegues text... Just one error.. "lei" = law (or spanish read past tense). In portuguese is "li" or "a gente leu tudo sobre seu carro" = "we had read everything about your car".

Well, nice to meet you, hope some photos about your car.

Alexandre,
I guess what I meant to say was "A gente gostou muito ler tudo sobre seu carro...."

Literal: "I enjoyed very much to read all about your car", or, in better English: "I very much enjoyed reading about your car". Or is that also incorrect? (The portuguese, I mean?)

If you mean the 46 Plymouth, I only have old pictures of my car, from back when I started it in 1980. We have pictures of my son's 75 Dart, but I will have to figure out how to post pictures on here, I never have done it. My son is not a member on this forum, he hangs out on the slant-six forum.

Oh, and some of the other guys on here rave about wanting to import Mopars from Brazil to the US - the Brazilian vehicle I'd most like to import is the Rural.

Hi neto, You have wrote perfect.. verbs in portugues are quiet dificult to say it the right way because they have different forms for each person.. but I love portuguese as a poetic language.. and english as a efficient language. (sorry, I wrote fast and did not spell check)

by the way, Rural is easy to buy in Brazil. Not so cheap (cars are expensive here).. You may use any ford engine in a rural. Since 4 cilinders to a 302 v8. But a friend use a Rural with a 318 dodge engine.. it is a monsters! really cool.

here is a classical rural picture:

a friend gave me a new toy.. my eyes are shinning.. I hope to restore it soon

as I told before, brazilian dodges used plymouth cluster.

thanks to Daniel Pavan.. I really love my "new" old cluster

Good score! looks like a tach in the middle? Most here in CA come with a delete plate. Tach or vacuum power gauge are rare options.

Yes, it is a tach... very rare here in Brazil.

allmost all are a delete plate or a clock (in newer models)
