Hello all, new here. :) I'm 17 and looking to pick up an early 70's A-body coupe - like a Dart Swinger or something similar, with the goal of having a nice V8/4-speed car in the end. I've never really dealt with domestic iron, always been into imports; my main car is a cherry Mazda RX7. But I want to get into the world of American V8's and broaden my horizons a bit; hopefully this forum will prove helpful!

i think it is great you are wise enough to see the older cars are better and have a ton more character than anything new. anybody can have a cookie cutter car.

don't let that stop you. it is never to early or late to get into mopars!you are in for a real treat. you will be glad you broadened your horizons now instead of later....enjoy the site and soak it all in.....

52,don't think there are many of us old guys.

Hey slick.welcome aboard. another young(er) guy here (21). Wisconsin rules! hope you find what yer looking for.

Thanks all. I do love the older cars; my RX7 is a 1st generation, and I'm doing the period-correct racer look for it (Minilite wheels, subtle side stripes, megaphone exhaust) and I'm thinking a Swinger would be a perfect companion to it. Now I just need to find a solid one as a project, and follow through on my plans to drop a 360/4-speed combo in it.
