i like the look and i found it necessary to get free stuff or stuff i already had laying around to make my valiant somewhat respectable. so far i have less than 1000. invested including what i paid for the car. the rat look is holding me over until i can paint it and get carpet to cover my bare floors.

Do not go out trying to make a rat rod ... its the progress of a build.
I hate the term "rat rod" most of the real rodders are trying to get things together in a traditional fashion. aka keeping to a certain era and sticking to that guideline ie a 32 ford ... latest part you could use would be up to a certain year.

Too many people are trying to make a rat rod, which is stupid as hell because there are some stupid people going out buying all of Foose's stuff and then trying to make those parts look old. These tradititional guys are using parts that were made for those cars 50 + years ago.
