selling to canadians

If you live far from the Border as many of us do there are few options. USPS is the cheapest but many vendors will not ship this way. Its ok for smaller less valuable items. I have a customs broker who has an office in Sweetgrass that will accept shipments but their brokerage and delivery fees aren't any cheaper than getting UPS to take it right to my door. It does save if I can get free or cheap shipping within the US but the weight restriction is about 50 lbs. Over the years the best money saver has been to bring in a whole bunch of items together which only works when I'm doing a whole car. I just have to realize how much I'm saving over all by bringing stuff in versus getting hosed by Canadian distributors who tack on an extra 30% for importing the item for me.
