Hello All:
I just joined the forum late last week, when I noticed this link while browsing the Moparts board. I have owned two 65 Barracuda’s, the factory 4 speed car that I have now, I’ve owned since the mid 70’s. I completed the MOPAR Action Disk Brake swap, up graded to 8 ¾ sure grip Rear end, 10.5 inch flywheel with a scallop clutch and a MOPAR Performance 320 horsepower crate motor. This has been an endeavor that I have wanted to do every since the mid 60’s when I bought my first Barracuda. In the past it was all I could do to keep the family cars running.

Welcome to the madness and let me be the first to say, no I want to say it first, no let me, me first you ****&^$, alright you say it, okay, pictures please. :axe:

Welcome. I used to run around the San Jose area in the early-mid 80s in a black 66 four speed Barracuda. It's owned by a member of this site now (and since 1987).

I am trying to reduce the pictures file size with Photo Shop but when the file size is small enough the picture is blured. I'll keep trying and post when I get it right, I saw a Black 65 Barracuda with factory style stripes in the San Jose State parking lot last friday afternoon on my way to Pick-an-Pull, wonder If it was your friend.

No, mine was a 66. Lee hasn't had out in the light of day for quite some time, either. This was the car back in 1984.

Nice car blues..I was married to a girl from San Jose in the 70's, used to run around there in an orange 56 Chevy and a blue 63 Falcon convertible. Used to go to the speedway there, I think they knocked it down for a mall.

Thank you one and all for your kind words, I have a friend from the Marine Corp that has owned a 1940 Ford 5 window Coupe since he was in high school. It has a hot-rodded Cadillac motor with dump tubes running out the front wheel wells. And, it also hasn’t seen the light of day since the 1980’s, when we towed it from this home in Bolder creek to his new home in Palo Alto.
