Hello! This is Travis from Tri-Cities WA (Kennewick). Just got a 68 Dart (318) and I'm the second owner of my 73 Duster. I've been into Mopars since 1991 and have owned several A-bodies and a few trucks. Glad to have this site around. Looking forward to meeting new people and putting this Dart back together. Trav

This is where I'm supposed to say welcome, but I'm still a newb myself. Love the screen name. I am also the second owner of a 73 Duster (at age 35) and used to have a '67 Dart. Cool cars (where are the pics?8)).

Thanks guys.
Here is the duster:

Haha. Funny thing about this Duster. It went to Japan (the first owner was in the Air Force). Before the shipping company would ship it, it had to be undercoated....alot....inside and out. Otherwise they said it would rust on the boat ride over and they'd be liable for the corrosion (imagine when companies assumed liability for something! Those were the days!) So the undercoating place drilled holes all thru the body and sprayed it in. You can see the little yellow plugs they used in the last picture in the corner of the door frame to cover the drill holes. Those things are all over the underside, and trunk and hood. I'm not sure how much weight that added, but I will say it won't ever rust.

The dogs I have now were kind enough to dig big holes underneath the front tires for shade and coolness. I sure appreciate that my Duster is now teetering on the edge of a rather large hole in the front. But not to worry. I have an 04 cummins that would pull the car sideways if necessary.

If there are any body guys on this forum, I'd appreciate an estimate of how much weight all that undercoating would add. Was thinking about drag-racing it, but totally pointless if the car has weight i cant really ever get rid of

I am just an hour and a half away in Moses Lake. I have a 74 Duster that is a constatnt work in progress and I have only had it for 3 months. It is my first Mopar.

Welcome from Yakima. Bought my Dart out of Kennewick last year. Hope to have it back together this summer.

Zigs, what year?
Sublime, I know a guy here who may have some parts. Give me a shout if you need something. Theres a pretty stout Mopar following here.
Reed, congrats on kicking major *** on the strip! Used to live in Enumclaw, BTW.

Why thanks! Pacific Raceways is my old stomping grounds and I have worked the past few summers in Enumclaw. Best of luck with the project!

Welcome aboard Cooter! It looks like you have a fun project and a couple willing four-legged helpers. Enjoy the car and the best Mopar site on the net!

Welcome from Soap Lake, WA

Looks like we have quite a few new members joining in April in Eastern Washington, very cool. We may be able to hit a car show together this summer.

There is one is Moses Lake the May 29th.

Its a 68 was Plum Purple. (don't like purple). Getting ready for paint and apolstery, changing out rear end to lbp. has 354 Hemi. I'm pretty good on parts just have to get it back together. I have pics on members build second page under 354 Hemi Dart. I have some GT and GTS badges I'm going to be getting rid of If you know someone.

I think the only parts I am in need of would be a hood so I try on flat black with the twin hood scoops and not have to destroy my currrent hood.

I also need some badges for the quarters.

I am also looking into painting my interior and my fronts seat may need reuphostered.

As you can imagine I could get carried away in my want list.
