Rant: the big lie
I regularly knocked down 33mpg (steady cruse at 65-70) with my 88 M3. This was with a normally aspirated engine that was making 1.4hp per cubic inch, stock.
The pic below is my old car. That is not a body kit or aftermarket wing. It's was 100% stock including the factory BBS wheels.
