Ok guys, i am wanting to put bigger wheels and tires on my duster, but i want my speedometer to work right, so what speedometer gear do i need to get? And uhm, what would the equation be to figure that out? My rear end gear is 3.55.
But i am also trying to figure out what size of tire and wheel i should go with. What is the biggest size of wheel/tire i can fit under a 75 duster without making any big changes (like without replacing springs and such)? And if i do want to get a bigger wheel/tire what size should i go with, and what all would i have to replace to make them fit?

Here's a site to help you determine what color/part number transmission gear you'll require. Remember that you need to have your rear end ratio and tire size finalized before you can pick the correct tranny speedo gear.

This next site will give you a good understanding of how to choose what size and offset wheel best suits your particular application.

If you need more discussion on exactly what tires and rims will fit your car, there's quite a few threads in the archives that you car research before making a decision. Hope this helps.

Or if you have a Mopar Dealership near you that sells performance parts... they have a chart and usually have most of the gears in stock.. they run between $15 and $40 something I think...

Or you could do like I did with my current Chrysler: Wait till after you get stopped for speeding, then take it in to get calibrated and see how far off it is, then try to estimate how much further off it will be after you put even bigger tires on it.
