Hate to say it Scott but that's not a good sign. I have seen the e-clip come off like Dartman said and cause you to loose all gears but when it does the detent ball generally comes out so you don't feel any detent. Before you pull the pan try it in neutral to see if it's pumping fluid so you know. You can either test it by pulling a cooler line off or if you have a oil pressure gauge that goes to 120 lbs or higher you can hook it to the line pressure port on the pass side. It's the port right about midway back above the pan rail. You should have at least 100 lbs. with the throttle pressure lever pushed all the way back. Doing that will ensure you know you have pressure. Got my fingers crossed it's something simple.
