-
It sold for over $140,000. Had a little bidding war at the last 2 minutes. Went from 132k to 140k at the last minute.

The appraisals are tricky on these cars. To give you a little background: I live in Ga.
1) In Ga, before you can get a tag,
2) you must provide the state with proof of insurance
3) In order to get insurance on a car like that, you must get an appraisal to arrive at an "agreed-to-value".
4) get the appraisal and jump through all the hoops.

An appraiser for a car like that can be very difficult to find as most appraisers are licensed to do newer car collision appraisals for accident repair/replacement. Very simply, they look in a book or on the internet and get the values for the insurance company. I was able to locate a certified classic/muscle car National appraiser and judge for National Level car shows. Hard to get these folks because of all they must do to get this certification. Most won't do it. If you can find one, they charge anywhere between $250.00 to $500.00, depending on how much work must be done to arrive at the correct value... Hope this helps a little..........

It cost me $150 to get my Swinger appraised here in Texas. I had to have an appraisal to get it insured through Haggarty Insurance.

Be lucky to get a decent price for the Beast. It is not an original BO car, but a '69 done into a '68 SS car. It was done right by a very savvy person, and raced for fun some, but it mostly used as a street killer now. Just had the NHRA chassis cert done in August of this year, so it looks like some more 1/4 mile fun in the near future.......... Oldschool

I agree that Oldschool you have one very cool super fine Hemi Cuda. When I think of Mopar muscle I think of 2 cars.....the baddest ever the 68 Hemi Cuda's and Dart's and of course the 63 Max Wedge Plymouth's. Ron
