Hi citizens of FABO. My name is Charles, and I live in orange county N.Y.. You may have seen some of my post lately. Back in January I got my first car as I'm only 15. My pride and joy is a 1967 Plymouth Valiant 100 2-door post. It's a factory red with red interior Califorina car that made it's way over to the east coast in the mid 80's. It's about as bare bones as you can get: 225 /6, auto trans, 7 1/4 rear. As far as options goes there was a rubber mat, bench seat, am radio, 2-speed wipers & power window washer. The car is pretty banged up but for the most part it is rust free. The only major rust issue is the floor pans. The rubber mat killed the floors where ever it covered, even the tunnel hump is rusted through. But the frame rails, crossmember, iner fenderwells, and trunk floors are minnnnnnnnnt. The passenger side from the doors back was side swipe comepletly eliminating the body line so know it needs a passenger side quarter. My plans for it is to put a v8 (318), 4 speed manual 8 3/4 3.91 sure-grip. I already got the trans conversion parts, k-frame, and 8 3/4 2.76 gears. I got the trans floor hump out of get this: a 1967 dart gts 383 4 speed convertiable. I also got a split bench seat with molded in head rest & arm rest for it because I love the look of a-bodys with the bench seat 4 speed combo. I have a line on the engine too. I'm also up grading to disk brakes. It's going to be painted it's original red paint with black stripes, hood scoops and a black interior. I've spent so far: $300 for complete a-body 8 3/4 rear (2.76), $40 for seats, $50 for v8 k-frame, $450 for all the 4-speed conversion parts (trans, pedels, lake wood bell housing, hurst shifter, flywheel, and all the linkage), $80 for set of 14" sbp steel wheels with new tires, and finnaly $300 for the car. That's right $300 for a 1967 valiant 100 2-door post car. My plans for the car is posiable a 440 and mini tubing. I would like to make some new friends on this site and here your valiant stories. I love this site and every day I'm learning something new on here every day. Its great to save a mopar!!!!!

A-BODIES for ever.

Charles,

Welcome!

Thank you:thumblef: I think you should keep the "tree shifter" because it would make that much more of a "sleeper" which is the style I personally like but its up to you and what ever you like better. The shifter linkage should fit right on.:compress::compress::compress::compress::compress:
