A tip about keys..

The key is made of a softer metal than the parts inside the lock cylinder. So the added weight may wear the key faster. It wont have any effect on the electrical switch itself.
Here's the inside track... A sevice writer will hand a labor ticket and key ring to the mechanic. The mechanic might growl about fumbling through a huge gang of keys and fobs.
I remember one girls key ring that was a tangled gob of crap well over a foot long. I'm telling ya the WWJD ribbons, etc.. almost reached the floor.
I never made up a line about how this could damage the car but I know some who would. If the mechanic made up such a tale an unsuspecting service writer will repeat it.
It's BS though.
