Hello to all.
Well, it looks like I joined FABO way back in 2004 (November) and have about 16 posts in the last 5 or 6 years or so. Needless to say, I've not been active on here and neither has any of my A-bodies... :(
I could make a 100 excuses why I've not been active, but mostly a lack of time and other interests. Now that I'm almost 60 years old, I'm finding I have a little more time on my hands. I want to at least get back working on my cars and perhaps spend a little more time on this forum as I find it has tons of new info that I'm sure will help out.
I have 3 A-bodies: a '73 Dart Sport (originally a 318 car), a '72 Swinger (also originally a 318 car) and a '72 Demon (original 340 4-speed car). I have these stored in a corner of my shop and I've not worked or driven any of them since the 1999 or 2000 time frame. I know, my bad.
I was in the shop yesterday keenly looking at the '73 Sport. It has a 10/2000 inspection sticker.
I think this car will be the first one I tackle to get back running. I have an early standard bore 360 long block that I had picked up for this car years ago and now I'm really scratchin' my head on how/what to build for a good street/strip machine, especially given some of the new technology that now exists. I have already rebuilt and put 3:55s/sure-grip in the 8.25" rear and was rebuilding the suspension when I parked her.
Anyway, rather than just lurking on here, I wanted to say "hello" to those out there that love the A-bodies. Look forward to being a little more active on here.

Hey welcome back, show us some pics when you get a min..... I want to see that charger

Welcome back! I'm like you starring the big 60 in the face but I don't have a 72 Demon sitting in the corner of my shop. Good luck getting the dart up and running. Now get busy!:toothy10:

Wow, that`s a long time gone. I`m going the other way, I seem to have fewer moments to spend on here each day. I hope to get back to it and see you around. Welcome back!

ChasDuster,
Here is a pic of that '67 Charger when we first brought it home.

I must admit: I'm not that big of a B-body fan, but my wife really loves those early Chargers for some reason. She thinks they're cool. Actually, she is the one that bought this car and spends the time keeping it up. She wants to do the full rotisserie restoration thing on it (and it probably wouldn't hurt it any). It is not a numbers-matching car, however, it is an original big-block Charger. It's pretty much all there and the ugly old duckling tends to grow on ya after you spend a little time with it....or at least till I start thinking about Darts/Demons again...lol

I'm looking for a 4sd project. If you decide to sell the Demon, let me know. Welcome from one old fart to another.

Sometimes we have to head in a different direction than we planned, but as long as you keep the destination in mind, eventually we'll get back on track. Being on here certainly helps :)
