Utah death row inmate to be executed by firing squad.

He was convicted before 2004 so he had the choice. All the latest douchebags will be given the needle.

He did have a choice. I`m sure he didn`t give his victim a choice. I often think that the perp should suffer the same death as the victim. That would never fly in this country. I wonder if they still have several people firing with only one having a live round so that no one knows who really fired the lethal shot?

Yes to my knowledge only one gun has the live round and the shooters don't know.

Interesting thought but should we pay someone to dismember a vivasectionist? Maybe pay a professonal rapist to hone out an offender? It's an odd juxtaposition. Both the offender and executor of the punishment should be done away with, otherwise we end up with the stigma of the religious cleansings of the dark ages. Not good.

I do think that the family of those offended should have the choice. JMO.

I know what you`re saying as "two wrongs don`t make a right" but it almost seems too kind to quietly put some human garbage to sleep after seeing what some of these monsters have done.

I agree and having a known personally more than one victim of a violent crime and thier families what would would the alternative be? I believe in God and I'll let Him sort it out.

Would I like to see some of these dirtbags pushed into a V-8 powered tree shredder feet first and slowly? Yes I would, but I have faith and this comforts me. We'll have our seemingly mild justice, God will take care of the rest. 8)
 
Oh, BTW, I firmly believe that God gives us the right defend ourselves, and if someone kills me while I kill them, feel free to kick the **** out of their dead corpse, assuming they haven't already **** themselves. :)

Holy crap that never fails to amaze me. Are there any legal types here? I mean what *exactly* happened between years 16 and 17 for example? I can buy an old surpluse service rifle and get 200 rounds of ammo in one day. Why does shooting the SOB take longer than the time needed to breed and train a new fighter pilot?

Anyone know?
 
There is one thing in Saudi Arabia I agree with, a murderer convicted is taken right out and given to the family to kill any way they seem fit. If they don't want to deal with say stoning or hanging by his thunbs and stoned they will gladly take him out in front of the court house and cut off his head. They also do that in cases of rape too, I like that justice, no 25 years of supporting the bastard.
 
Average time on death row is getting longer with all of the appeals these days. Here in Va. and Texas they get them taken care of relatively quickly when compared to most other states. Last I heard the average nationwide time on death row was around 14 years.
 
Good shoot him and get over with it.he's been in deathrow for 25 years while taxpayers have been paying to support his condemed ***..i'm a firm believe in the death penalty.but when one is sentence to death DON'T put them in prison so taxpayers can support them, while on deathrow..take them out behind the courthouse and put 2 in the back of their head get it over with..bang bang next.............
 
i saw we shouldnt waste money on killing them. a bullet is cheap compared to drugs. and we shouldnt waste money on feeding them and housing them in prison. just get thru court and if its death sentance maby give them a month so they can repent spiratualy and be sorry for what they did then bang bang end of story
 
Death by firing squad in Utah goes back to the not so well known historical relegious views of the LDS church that for some sins, shedding of your own blood is the only way to atone for your sin. Lethal injection or hanging doesn't do this.
 
I was in Utah in 78 or 79 and they had a firing squad take out a guy named Gilmore. I think it's a good way to get rid of dirtbag killers.
