I love those notchbacks...looks like you picked up a really nice one there.

Depending on the power level you want,you could redo the original 318 and get over 300hp and still be streetable.The best part is you already have the motor and have a good idea of the condition.

340s are a nice upgrade,are more period correct and are generally more desirable than 360's.Downside is they're expensive even as a core or as a runner.

360's are more plentiful so they're relatively inexpensive to buy and the extra cubes will give you more bang for your buck.

All three are in the same engine family so most of the parts,except the rotating assemblies,will interchange and the weight is basically the same.
