back under the tank. I just filled it up Sunday before taking it out for a spin.

I have it stored in a collector car facility and they called me today to say it leaked about a gallon of gas??

Could I have over filled it?

It did drop some fuel at the gas station.

Check your float sending unit seal or the short elbow piece of clamped fuel hose from the sending unit to the fuel line clamped on the frame rail.

On mine it was the small piece of hose. I just stuck a funnel with a 6 gallon outboard motor tank under the car and pulled the hose off. After the tank drained down to where no more gas came out I replaced the hose.

A friend who used to work at a gas station many years ago used to tell me that he fixed gas tank leaks with Fels Naptha bar soap. Supposedly you keep working the soap back and forth over the leaking area and somehow the gas reacts with the soap and will seal temporarily (he said 6 months). Might keep the storage people off of your back if you don't want to drop a tank right now if there isn't an easy fix.
