408 build

Thanks Guys!
I would like to use a street hydraulic roller . So I thought the 360 roller magnum block would be easier. I would like to use Eddy ported LA heads and a shaft rocker system.
Can the 360 magnum roller block oil the rockers on a LA head? If so what years? Do i have to modify it or should I just use the old LA block and a good hydraulic cam with ported Eddy LA heads? I am not big on non shaft rockers. I want good power and low maintenance cause I aint driving it.(sons car)

I have a nice 3800 Neil Chance Converter and lots of tranny parts and a back braced 8.75 with 4.10 gears , detroit locker ,MW caps and Moser Axles for it. Should be quick in a city block. Or I could just drop a 500 hp 440 in the car (have one sitting in the garage), but I really like the way the 408s run at the track. I would like to build one with my son.

The comp cam pro magnum rockers I have on a 440 motor ran for 10+ years with no problems with the 557 X 296 MP Mech. Cam.

Iam running the Hughes rockers (cryro Treated) on my 500 stroker 12.3 comp, Victor heads and Victor intake with a comp cam drag race mechanical roller cam RX296R-8 (650 lift 263 duration @.050 intake) on the street and bracket . SMR 5000 stall & SMR Mega Torque tranny. SMR makes nice stuff! So far real nice.

I figure 10.0 to 10.5 compression ratio with decent cam and I can burn premium pump gas with ported aluminum heads and make 450 + hp.
When I get an idea what parts I am going to use I could figure out a and Static CR and Dynamic CR and make sure it all works for 92 octane.

I just am not up on the magnum stuff and the tricks to getting a roller cam magnum block with Shaft Rockers and parts to make it all work with out unecessary machine work and hassels.

Thanks
