A body manual trans pedal setups
I'm not trying to be difficult or anything but I am looking for someone who has some actual experience with the subject, whether they have put early pedals in a late car or vice versa. I know the pedals don't appear the same, but I could have sworn I read, either on this forum or another, that the pedals do interchange. I've been looking for a while now and haven't found anything so I was just hoping someone would have some actual experience with the swap. In regards to the actual pedal placement, if I remember correctly, the pedals should clear the column fine either way, it's just the the early A had the column in-between as opposed to the later a's tucking the brake pedal around the inside of the column.
Thanks for the responses, I do appreciate ANY help.

And proof of the HD pedal assembly..

..which appears to have the bottom of the brake pedal twisted flat where it mounts? I'm not sure I understand how this would be, or is, any stronger than mounted the way the "non-HD" pedals are. They don't put steel I-beams on their side do they? Anyhow.. This is all I have found, if anyone else has anymore information, PLEASE contribute!
Thanks again,
Ryan
