  • Pics, coming soon. Your impact appreciated, more than you know. I will be annoying you soon, with idiotic questions. However, after the liberal idioticy everywhere,I suppose music, would be a great relief. Sorry, for the *** long post.
SX is an excellent choice. Fact is, their bass are worth far more than they cost. I purchased an SX bass to keep in my office. It's a copy of a fender P bass. The body is made of American Swamp Ash, with a maple neck and fret board, and it cost me $186.00 Delivered!
Fact is, the action is excellent, and tonally it can come so close to duplicating the tone of my Fender P bass that unless you can compare them side by side most people couldn't tell the difference.
The neck is a little thicker than I'm used to on my multi-thousand dollar basses, but geez! $186.00??? How can you complain about that?
I have friends who gig with these things, and they sound great! I've used it at rehearsals, and everyone commented on how good it sounds.
Sorry I wasn't more help... Keep me updated, and don't forget pics.
    AND ENJOY IT!!!!!!!
Ordered a SX beginning bass(M/T delivered). Thanks, for the info. Unlike the current 57 state,"communiity organizer",I have help. Thanks.
When I was younger I did some work on tube circuits. Basic circuit tracing and repairs. The old tube chassis were pretty easy to work on, back then. I no longer do that, but I still play, and still use tube amps (mostly a 1968 Sunn 200S), or a 69 SVT.
Both or either sounds so much better than the solid state stuff of today, although there are now some really decent amp and axe model units that can mimic tube quality.
Hey Frankie I noticed your avatar is a small signal tube. I also see your a musician. Do you work on, or have you worked on old tube amps? I cut my teeth in electronics on stuff like that. When I was a kid in the 70's people would give me old tube stuff that didn't work and I'd see if I could get them working. Some I did and sold for a few bucks. I still have my old Sencore tube tester in the basement along with several old tubes.
