Hey Leanna.
Was wondering. Bought a set of 273 commando valve covers from a guy on FABO. They look nice, but the wrinkle finish seems tacky. Not my biggest problem though. After I put the engine on a run stand and broke in the cam, I swapped out the old steel valve covers for the commando covers. Change the oil and checked for metal, etc. When I put oil in it, of course it leaked like a sieve out of the covers right where they bolt up. Good neoprene gaskets etc. I think they were over tightened in the past and are bent. That being said, I don't want to spend a fortune, but would like to run these. Can you straighten them out with out removing/replacing the finish?
I'm open for suggestions.
Thanks.
Jim
