I live in North Topeka in a good neighborhood, older homes. Both young and older people. Most people tend to look down on North Topeka because of 50 yr old considered problems. But I like it that way Nice areas further north but more $$$$. Main thing is stay out of central and east Topeka. Much rougher areas with a lot of crime. West Topeka is the higher end {$$$$$$} area. For quite a few years when the yearly crime reports come out, they actually show North Topeka to be if not the safest then quite close to the top safest area. All of N Topeka is mainly older homes with newer homes the further north you go.
