I used a pair of Carter carbs, no chokes. Starts ok (if not too cold). I used the stock throttle, just shortened it up.

The picture of your slant 6 shows 2 carbs. I am interested in doing something similar. What intake and carbs are you using? Did you have any trouble with the throttle linkage? Are you using a choke?
