Check distributor magnetic pickup air gap as well.
Hey thanks, I'll definitely keep you in mind.
Thanks Mike. All points to the block, which is odd because it's always had good antifreeze and never been abused. I'll pull the oil pan and use...
Nah not yet, it's still in the car n running great. (the above pictures sourced online)
So still trying to figure how coolant is getting in the oil pan..definitely isn't the head or head gasket..
Yeah thanks Mike :D.. slant 6
Does the circled hole in these pictures have/require a plug in it?Thanks!
Head pressure tests good..
Yes, standard protocol.
Thanks, and yes Citroen Gold.
It always runs great, and doesn't ping or knock (I run ethanol free premium). I'm just tryna figure how coolant's getting in the pan.. ha, fun :D
Haha yeah good point :violent1:
Just throwing this out there, 190-200 dry, 200-210 wet, opinions, will I have head gasket problems?
That's what's happening now, thanks, AAR to follow.
Yeah I put ARP studs in it. After it started leaking. Might not have got a good retorque previously....
not a problem, thanks for the suggestion :burnout:
Yeah me thinks so too. Not high miles. I'll post what I find on disassembly. Thanks
Me too head gasket, coolant doesn't circulate through slant 6 intake. Thanks
Radiator pressure test, loses pressure and oil level goes up as coolant enters oil pan.
Yes green antifreeze, thanks much.
not on slant 6, but thanks
Double checking, where besides head gasket might engine coolant get into crankcase oil from? Thanks in advance.
Yeah, sorry about your dad.. but awesome car, he had good taste. Best in the resto!
Merry Christmas all. I enjoy FABO, just don't talk much.. thanks Joey & co.
I found that the patch 24/7 took enough of the edge off to do the job for me. After 35 years, and at least that many tries lol. All the best, keep...
yes sir, just living the life, hope you all are good
Great threads Shafer, both here and the Petty fans board.
Man that's a sweet barracuda!
On my list, all the best.
