How do you straighten a k-frame off the car? Is it worth it?

As already stated, the mounting surfaces are all supposed to be on the same plane. Run a straight edge across/between them.

How do you straighten a k-frame off the car? Is it worth it?

Fair point. Just making sure. I think if it's bent, by the time you got it "fixed", you could probably find one for a decent price. I got mine for a 100 bucks on a trip to CO a couple of years ago. Maybe a parts car for sale somewhere.

I mean K-Frame's aren't a rare item.... Is there something special about yours?

    Items bought from FABO guys

To be fair, I don't mean to come across as being sarky about your concern. In general it's a legit concern but this forum and the way in which is operates give us tools to evaluate potential risk etc. I made a pretty large purchase last year ($1500 for an E-Body vert windshield frame) and the...

    Guns, Dogs and Blades QnA

if you're putting a new stock on, a buffer tube isn't that expensive. Almost not worth trying to save it especially of you're putting a folder on. You're gonna remove the tube anyway

No, he's suggesting just taking the upper and lower apart for transport.

    Guns, Dogs and Blades QnA

Short answer, yes. Remove the ring and the buffer tube will spin off. You need to press in the detent for the buffer inside the lower reciever though. If you just want to pop the stock off, you can pull the "aduster" lever away and the stock will pop off of the buffer tube

Got a pic? Only thing holding it in should be the detent pin for the buffer I thought....

What is the item I tried to circle? It actually is for my 2004 Jeep wrangler.

Check the low and high pressure valves. Those Schrader valves can go bad. otherwise you can rent the stuff from oriellys and put some UV dye in the system. I just did this and found out my evap core was shot.

[FOR SALE] Original 1970 Duster Dart 340 Bell Housing 2892482

I have no problem. I simply decided it wasn't worth the shipping, the drive to the location it was going to be shipped to, the work required to "fix" it. I'll say that the seller was very helpful and tried very hard to make the shipping more palatable but at the end of the day, I decided...

    Roastin in so Texas

I had plans, all sorts of plans and got tired of waiting. I was going to insulate etc and regret not doing it every time I'm out there in the heat. My shop is 36x48x14 and would be murder to put A/C in. I am however going to install two 24" exhaust fans up high on the back wall. Should keep air...

    Roastin in so Texas

Yup, good rule of thumb is if you're still sweating, you're not too far gone. People sometimes forget to pay attention to the fact the sweat is no longer getting into their eyes. If that happens, seek help immediately and hydrate as fast as you can. Eating a pickle or two helps from the salt.

Same here, I'm right around the corner in Castroville. I did get a fan for the barn/shop that at least keeps the humid air moving and lets my body keep up. Made all the difference in the world between an hour and up to 5 if I'm diligent with the fan direction.

    The cost of concrete

Decent rule of thumb is whatever the concrete costs, plan on that again for the total. 1yd of concrete ill cover around 81 sq/ft at 4" thick. Call the crete place and get the price per yard and do the math. I paid 8400 2 years ago for my 36x48 shop, 4" thick with 3 cross beams. 1 yard was...

Planning a shop build, any suggestions?

That's no anchor pot... The ones I sent are 75 each and you'd only need a few. That said, if you're not worried about ever removing them, you can make the same functional thing yourself. There are plenty of examples.

Planning a shop build, any suggestions?

I agree steel is better, but the cost tipover is the concrete. Pylons and a 4" floating slab cost way less than a well done "foundation" for a steel structure.

Anyone mention floor anchor pots? Great for doing light pulls or holding a car in place. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00C7ALAK0/?tag=fabo03-20
