I plan to look into a radiator shop (if they still exist) and see what the cost would be compared to new ones.
Trouble is you don’t know wall thickness and and corrosion levels for even a core that passes a test.
Did you purchase a rebuilding/gasket kit?
I have both cores. I just don’t know if I want to buy new or work with the ones I have. My luck they test fine and later begin to leak. It’s a lot of work to remove them.
Nice job. One thing off the list.
So I disassembled the heater and discovered that the heater core looks the same with or without AC as mentioned above. Again my application is 1970 340 Dart Swinger.
I included the dimensions in the photos. If anyone has a core that compares it would help confirm.
do you know the part number? People have said to use mymopar.com. They have they Chrysler parts books on file
Maybe once you have the part number you can try finditparts.com
they seem to be pretty reasonable as opposed to other sources
I have another post discussion about are they different. A reply said they are same 1970/72. They changed the box in 1973.
Looking at the picture Which core do you have ?
What year is your dart?
Have you had yours apart? I haven’t and I have heard that they are the same in 1970.
I will get back to you soon as I plan to dismantle the box after the holidays.
I am working on a 1970 340 Dart Swinger with AC.
It’s gets a little confusing when I hear they are the same and sometimes hear that they are different.
I have seen an ad that states they are the same which makes sense if they were up until 1973.
Once I get it apart I can compare. Until I...
It may come to that for sure I just looked at a website that listed the heater core to fit with or without AC.
You think that is correct? If so there are a lot listed but as "without AC"
I am restoring my heater and AC box units and can't seem to find a heater core with AC and an evaporator. Does anyone know of a source?
Can old ones be repaired/used if I can't locate them? I hate to take it all apart and not replace with new units.....
Thank you
The sheet metal needs cleaning or a blast but it is sound. Nice thick gauge. It’s a good alternative to fix the trunk if you want to patch or replace without complete removal.
The piece removed was where the user wanted to weld around the bumper support bracket.

I am looking over the fenders. I have two sets. It would be easier I think if you give me your cell number so I can talk you through them discussing choice and options. Some have different needs and you can better decide if we talk rather than message back and forth.
The fenders do have...
I’ll send you some pictures so you can see them. I got them with my car and they were supposed to be Arizona fenders.
Do you need the front fender extensions? They should be metal?
I think the fenders have the type of reflector that lights up with inserts placed in a recessed lip opening.
You could just cut and weld the openings and drill the hole locations. Not a big job for a good body shop but your choice.
I will check to make sure.
I have dart fenders but not sure of the year. Can you tell the difference and be able to tell me? Shape? Reflectors?
My first A body and I’m not as familiar with them.
It's a 70-73 lock design trunk lid
My understanding is that it will fit 74-76 Dart using the 70-73 lock mechanism.
Pretty good shape. Not a rust bucket. Brought up from Arizona.
One dent to push out and fix on top.
