    Headers, TTI or Doug’s?

@chrgdrt not sure what you disagree with but thats what we did.. tti on a 66 cuda with a mopar mini starter. the original poster says he has a 727 so it may be different.

    Headers, TTI or Doug’s?

put the tti on a 66 cuda using only a mopar mini starter.

    Headers, TTI or Doug’s?

running a tube front end probably opens up more room so either will work. the tti are larger tubes and larger collectors then the dougs. not sure if that makes a difference for you or not. with stock suspension i'd personally go with the dougs. helped a friend install the tti in his 66 cuda...

Steering box swap With TTI headers

early abody tti headers have larger tubes then the dougs. not sure you'll pull it off without pulling that header off.

Who Is In the Market for Early ABodies These Days?

i'd like to have another one.. have had three 64 valiants which are my favorite and a 65. would like to have a 64 valiant rag top or wagon. i have a small block swap kit (mounts, centerlink and dougs headers) that i have gathered laying here waiting for the right one. doubt i'll ever get one...

    1 7/8 "TTi Headers in a early A Body

tti makes a header for the early a. not sure on the tube size though. losing the t-bars may help 67-up headers fit. gonna be tight.

    exhaust woes ......1973 340 into a 1965 barracuda

put harolds spitfires on a friends (@DJVCUDA) 66 cuda with a 360 in it.. they fit great, not a big deal running exhaust (forget what size he had) and they made a huge difference over the 73 style 340 manifolds he had on it. i was shocked to tell you the truth..

    exhaust woes ......1973 340 into a 1965 barracuda

dougs and tti make headers. not cheap but an option.. find early abody 273 manifolds.. they will need the slightest work to fit. not ideal but they will work and fit the best. probably choke it some too but it is what it is.. i ran them on a 360 in a 64 valiant. the later 340...

    LS Swap '65 Valiant

no kit but it cant be all that bad to get bolted into it. maybe use a modified street rod mount. im pretty sure that the LS is narrower then a new hemi so it should fit easier. once bolted in there shouldn't anything really that much different then hooking it up in any other vehicle.

Found this 383, worth it for my 65?

problem is that the magazines back in the day and the freaking oldheads back then (guess at 52 i'm an oldhead now..lol) spit out garbage information like a bigblock won't fit in an early a, it won't handle, it is a waste of time..bla...bla...bla... and way too many people over the years took...

Found this 383, worth it for my 65?

no.. just used moroso chrome valve covers.. infact my engine sat a hair high because i didn't bother notching the k-frame for the oil piump.. they had a angle in them that looked like it was there to clear the master cyl too.. wish i had a better camera back then and knew to take a ton...

Found this 383, worth it for my 65?

sounds like a total clusterfuck.. i didn't have any of those issues with my 64 valiant with a 440 in it. with 6 cyl bars i agree would suck on the road.. i stuck 383 bars in mine and it drove damn good on the street and hell with the 1"+ bars on the market today that ***** would be great on...

Found this 383, worth it for my 65?

**** i did the big block in my 64 valiant at liek 22 years old.. didn't know all that much and it went pretty smooth. today with the internet and all that information at my finger tips it would really be easy.

Found this 383, worth it for my 65?

ain't nothing like a big block in an abody.. and really nothing like a big block in an early abody.. really not that hard of a swap.. personally i thought the 440 was easier then the small block to work on in my 64 valiant..... headers are the biggest issue.. had mine custom made...

Day two of the 64 Valiant
