if anything the value will go up with a 340 in it. while it may be neat to see an all original slant duster at a show there is a good reason you don't see many. they are boring as hell to drive. in the end it is all personal preference. its your car so its comes down to what you want...

pull the coil wire before you do anything to keep it from starting..lol

easiest way which will be close enough is to pull #1 plug. put your finger over the plug hole, rotate the engine until it pretty much blows your finger off the hole and stop. line the timing mark up wit 0 and the rotor will be pointing to where #1 plug wire goes.

the proper color is red... after many years of abuse ti can look orangeish but the proper color is red.. some years of trucks used a yellow on the slant 6.

It’s a stock 1bbl intake. I’d trash that ****. Not worth taking up space with.

holy over sensitive man.. most v8 guys would never even come into the slant section but when you hit "new posts" the posts in here pop up. hell most of the time i never even notice what section something is posted in because all i do is hit "new posts" when i come to this site..

The 90 ho is the difference of how it was rated. One was gross the other was net.

total fart there... no better then a honda sound to me... but hey whatever floats your boat..

and out of those only one sounds like a wet fart going down the road/track... :)

cool car and all but that thing is modified all over the place anyway so a motor swap isn't gonna hurt it any more... i'd just store the original stuff in a corner is i was that worried about it..:)
