    Did they ever produce a slant 6 4 speed with a console in 1966?

    I'm sure one could have ordered a slant six with a 4 speed. There are people on this site who are always looking for a 4 speed bell housing for a slant six. The standard engine for a 66 Dart GT would have been a 225 slant six.

    May be in over my head?

    I can imagine what the inside of the block and head and radiator are like. Most likely somebody ran straight water in the cooling system. Time to rebuild or replace.

    Sounds like it's pretty tired. Low compression and oil pressure. Time to rebuild or replace.

    Clifford Products

    I have a Clifford 2 bbl. intake and headers on a stock rebuilt 250 CI 73 Chevy P.U. since 1998. Really noticed an increase in performance. The only thing I noticed is they tend to get loose and eat gaskets. Clifford recommends a cardboard type of gasket over metal. Truck doesn't run that well...
