    Leaf spring advise

If you like the current height, it looks by the picture that you could center the tire in the wheel well by moving the axle forward. Adjusting the location hole on the spring perches will achieve this and is fairly easy to do. Make sure you check the driveshaft as it may need shortened.

    black widow mufflers

I put a set on my Cuda, sounded great at idle, way too loud for my liking driving at speed. Only had turn downs, may have been better with full exhaust. Changed over to turbos. I did call them too see if they had posters for sale of the tshirt model. No luck, but they sent me a black widow...

I am curious as what car in your avatar is the one you own? The black duster is my old car that I sold years ago to a gentleman in RI. He won a championship with it racing in F.A.S.T. I do believe.

Finally got the suspension and new tires installed. Due to shortage of availability of Cragar SS rims that I had intended to install on stock width A body rear axle, stole my B body rear that already had mounts moved in from other project (67 barracuda), added 11 inch brake system, DR Diff...

Well got the front disc converted with scarebird kit. Easy to install, had to remove sway bar along with mounts to allow full turning radius. Now waiting for more parts to finish updates and put some miles on it the rest of Summer. Will post progress throughout week.

    69 Cuda from northeast ohio

340, 4 speed, 3.91 rear gear. Manual steering, brakes, and windows. We built the 340 a couple of years ago with x heads, lunati voodoo cam, Wiseco Pistons. It is old school with cherry bombs, bias ply rears, air shocks. Updating, or just changing front drums to disc, rear SS springs, new...

    Gotta build ANOTHER engine.

Their is another dot on your crank gear that needs lined up to the dot on the cam gear. I did the same exact thing a couple of builds ago. All the intake valves hit the pistons, broke 1 valve, expensive lesson. Clay on top of a piston to check clearance is a lot cheaper.

    Centering rear wheels in opening.

I welded the nut to the hanger, this allows it to slip into the hole I put in the frame and be able to tighten the bolt.
  24. rowinafour

    Centering rear wheels in opening.

The hanger does not add length, it is modified for offset. The spring perch locator moves the axle back. The bottom plate needs the locator hole offset to allow the ubolts to properly align.

    Centering rear wheels in opening.

I have moved the axle back by using the perches that have 3 locator holes, just set up on spring bolt on the front hole for approximate 1 inch rearward location. The bottom plates need modified to center on bottom of springs for u bolt installation and proper shock mount clearance. I have also...

    Rear tires after moving springs

g49bridges had mentioned his car had SS springs, just wanted to show him how his car would look with 325 tires with similar suspension without tub change. Thanks for compliment on car, have since sold it and have 67 barracuda project to fill the void.
