Wow, that is something. Perhaps the person that did that had stock in Bondo? You have to basically be unconscious to blow through road blocks like that.

The Great Pumpkin - '71 Duster

I'm not 100% sure but I would think the fan is a puller. The cooler mounts to a flat surface, you wouldn't want it radiating heat onto whatever surface it's mounted to. Lines are not done yet - that's next. I'll post pics for sure. It will be a mix of -6AN socketless and aluminum hard line.

Got the remote trans cooler mounted up. Much like the fuel filter/regulator, once I got past the fact that there was no easy way to mount it without drilling holes in the floor, it didn't take much time to get it done. I have to plumb and wire it but this is where it's going to live. Under the...

Thanks! I'm not sure about the amp ratings off the top of my head. There are different sizes available and some accommodate larger wires so if you're looking into it I'm sure you can find something suitable. The fuel pump is run off a relay but it's probably 15-20A? I used 14ga contacts for...

The Great Pumpkin - '71 Duster

OK, made some good progress since my last post which was about a month go. I pretty much have the gas tank, fuel filter/regulator and associated bits and pieces in for good. Took a lot of staring at the bottom of the floor to make a decision on how to make it happen. I had been trying to avoid...

Looks great! The attention to detail on the little stuff is refreshing. Takes forever to get stuff done but it's a better job in the end. Keep it up!

    [SOLD] TTi Small block 1-7/8" full-length headers, 3 1/2" collectors 340W2-17835 W2, RHS/INDY-X NEW!

Up for sale is a brand-new set of TTi 1 7/8" small block headers. These have never been run. They have been stored on a shelf inside a climate-controlled garage, covered in bubble wrap. They have only been taken out of the boxes and installed on the engine for mock up on an engine stand as seen...

How can i make 700 horse from a 410 stroker

OP might want look at Sprint car stuff for ideas. 410" combos seem pretty standard but I believe they are A8 based which is a totally different animal than a 340 resto block. The A8 is an aluminum dry sump block. Big $$$$$ if you can even find one, like $1X,***+. Sprint Car engine book. 2015...

How can i make 700 horse from a 410 stroker

"Wedge" intake manifold thread on YB. Like I said already, I don't play in the W head sandbox but it's cool to see "Chrysler derived small block architecture" getting pushed to new heights.

How can i make 700 horse from a 410 stroker

BTW, since we're spending 79Powerwagon's money - what is the budget here, Sir? Unlimited? If so, 700 hp from a small bock is no problem just call Brett. Or is it more like "let's try not go over $10K and I'll be happy with what I end up with" or even "I got a couple decent parts and maybe $3-4...

How can i make 700 horse from a 410 stroker

I get what you’re saying but from a practicality standpoint, the stated goal of 700 hp has to be easier and cheaper to accomplish with a 500” + BB. I get the OP has the good SB stuff already and changing to a BB is a PITA but that said, (IMO) the goal will be harder to reach and will be harder...

How can i make 700 horse from a 410 stroker

Right. IMO, that’s asking a lot even with a “big” small block. W8-W9s that flow 350 cfm of air plus a real intake, 2”+ custom headers, Jesel belt drive, T&D Rockers...Start saving up now. Is a power adder in the equation or does it have to be N/A? That would be easiest. Tube frame truck should...

How can i make 700 horse from a 410 stroker

What is the RPM range? Might be tough to hit your target under 7K. But even with a really stout combo, a small block seems like a hard way to go about this. You need torque with all that large, heavy stuff to turn. A big block would be a more logical move here.

    NHL Playoffs 2023

Well the Rangers survived another elimination game. Hopefully they will gain some momentum from that. They won two playoff elimination games last year so it's not a stretch for this group to do it again but they sure don't make it easy. I'll admit that I basically wrote them off after that game...

The Great Pumpkin - '71 Duster

Been a rainy couple days here which helped facilitate some progress on the wiring front. I made a panel and set the EFI components in place. Little clunky but so far it seems like it should work. Did OK drilling the holes accurately, only muffed one or two this time. The panel essentially...

The Great Pumpkin - '71 Duster

Thanks. I was actually planning on using the core support bolts to hold clamps. For me, the most difficult part of the wiring is trying to figure out where it all should go. The electrical aspect is almost easier because there's no choices involved, it either works or doesn't. Making the panels...

The Great Pumpkin - '71 Duster

Work has finally begun on the wiring. I was dreading it because it's going to be a big project but I just needed to make a move on it. Long way to go but I'm glad I started on it. First step is obviously figuring out where the individual components will be located. This includes the main...

The Great Pumpkin - '71 Duster

So as is often the case, I re-do stuff because I'm not 100% happy with the 'final product'. This time that applied to the brake lines I just did in post #428. I went to NAPA and bought a 25' coil of 3/16" line since it was me that bought the last two pieces of 6' straight tubing they had which...

    NHL Playoffs 2023

Honestly, they've had our number more times than I care to admit. They've always played a very defensive style by clogging the neutral zone but we seem to have found a way through it this time. I'm sure they will make adjustments to try and find more offense but their backs are definitely...

    NHL Playoffs 2023

Panthers are one of the few teams in the league that played well against the Bruins this year. Bergeron was out too. My Rangers with another solid win. We have outscored the Devils 10-2 over the first two games. Our PP is rolling right now.

    NHL Playoffs 2023

Kane has been laying low for the most part just trying to fit in. I don’t think we have seen all of what he can do just yet. Hopefully he contributes like everyone knows he can. Pretty big adjustment for him after all those years in Chicago but he should be ready to go by now. Panarin is all-world.

    NHL Playoffs 2023

LET'S GO RANGERS!!! We're hot at the right time. I always worry about both the Devils and Carolina but I think we're playing as good as or better than both of those teams right now. We're also healthy for the most part and Igor is basically back to his Vezina-trophy winning self. No matter...

Suggestions for new design Aluminum Mopar SB clean slate (kind of) cylinder heads

I have not read through all the responses here but something similar to an RHS/Indy-X head (which are Magnum based) in aluminum would be a real good starting point. Minimum 2.02" valves with options for larger ones and like PRH said larger diameter spring pockets. Dual exhaust pattern for larger...

The Great Pumpkin - '71 Duster

Yes, I know about the coils but like you said, it has to be straightened which can be a lot of work. I actually have a dedicated tubing straightener-outer tool but even with that thing it still never comes out perfectly straight especially longer lengths. I've done coils upon coils of tubing...

The Great Pumpkin - '71 Duster

Because it's blocking the rear brakes from applying rather than holding the fronts. When you pull into the water box, you apply the solenoid and hold the car with the brake pedal instead of pumping 3-4 times while relying on the solenoid to keep the pressure up. It's basically the same as...

The Great Pumpkin - '71 Duster

Did the rear line and Line Lock yesterday. I used most of the pre-bent line I had on hand which was much easier than bending a whole new one. I can only get 6ft. sections from my local NAPA which wouldn't have been long enough anyway. Here's the OE line in place with factory clips. While...
