Which part? There were no more pushbutton transmissions in ‘65. The valve body part I don’t know for sure. I read that in a few places here on FABO, including this one: 904 pushbutton conversion
Technically if it was in a '65 it's not a pushbutton, but still an early, cable shifted A904. I've been told it would work in a '64 with pushbutton if you swap the valve body.
Yes, I'd be interested in the rockers and possibly the heads. Unfortunately I don't have the space for the block. @Baz I'm in Eagle Rock/ Northeast L.A., where are you located?
Thanks, JD! It's kinda funny, because my 7.25" sure grip had the pinion nut come loose a couple of days ago and is leaking from there and didn't even have time to fix it yet. I'd love to have the shocks, but they are probably not worth the 2 1/2 hour drive.
Hmm, if it was a sure grip, I would probably do it for $400, but if not, then I'll get one here locally. Thanks for checking! I hope to fix it soon, so the Spring Fling in Van Nuys will be too late. It's my daily driver.
