My "new" '74 Duster- or why I need a project like a hole in the head

Regular stick shift or a Lenco? Some people don't have the cubic dollars to pay to have a busted car hauled hundreds of miles home on short notice because they NEED to get to work the next day. I knew a guy who trailered his 12-second car because one, he didn't want to drive 100 miles on his...

    [WANTED] 727 valve body

I'm not 100% sure, but I THINK I recall Rick Ehrenberg noting that 727 and 904 use the same valve bodies. I am 100% sure that the later ones have high-RPM shift governor weights available-ask for weights for a 2.5 Jeep Wrangler.

Hey, the year it ran Cleveland to Little Rock there was a dude from Phoenix. Guy is Long Hauling from the Seattle area this year.

That...is brilliant! Do they need additional resistors or anything?

Replacing Instrument Cluster bulbs with LEDs - Illumination Detail Question - 67 Barracuda

Exacerbated by the fact you can't even get decent 1157 bulbs anymore. A possible issue with gauge lights is that some "dimmable" LEDs don't do it well. Some dim a little, then go out. Some dim a little...then flicker like a dollar-store disco ball. While amusing, it would probably get annoying...

Classic auto air install 1970 Duster with 340 and Edebrock Super Victor EFI Manifold

Thought so. That's not what I'm planning, I just want the add-on A/C. Honestly, I was thinking small-diameter (or oval) GVAC ducting for the driver-side vents.

Need to drive it! And again, THANK YOU @j par for this thread! I just wish I could buy a copy of your compressor bracket.

Classic auto air install 1970 Duster with 340 and Edebrock Super Victor EFI Manifold

Perfect fit my  ! This is the HVAC setup that REPLACES the stock heater, correct? OOOOH! I might want one of those if so. If he could make one that would go about 2/3 the width of the dash (say, 3-4" to the RIGHT of your center vent panel to the driver's side), that might be quite...

source for LA silicone bypass hoses

I recall my Dak had a blue bypass hose that looked like silicone. Might still be available...? No idea on the PN, application was a 95 Dakota Sport with a 318.

    Should I Replace AC Condenser?

Friend's 78 Aspen has a converted system (still running the RV2) using the stock condenser. I recall he removed it, cleaned it, and blew it out with lots of compressed air (to get the R-12 oil out), then reinstalled and charged. It works quite well, cools the cavernous (station wagon) interior...

Classic Auto Air Belt alignment fix

This is speculation and fuzzy memories (crap, I'm getting old) here, but I vaguely recall that 80s 318 M-bodies with A/C and smog pumps had weirdly-complex multi-belt drives. I wouldn't be surprised if trucks and vans may have also used something similar.

[WANTED] Duster quarter glass Mylar mount strips

I need the part that attaches the front of the Duster pop-out quarter glass to the pillar. (Often sold as an early A/B body "door glass channel run.") Poster "dadsbee" mentioned an older Mylar piece that was bad for its intended use on the back of A/B-body vent windows, but works perfectly on...

It would be AWESOME if the sellers would actually, like, MENTION this somewhere!

    Duster quarter window "hinge"

After the response I got from DMT, I'll scrap the car before giving them a cent. I have time, since the Duster goes into winter storage tomorrow. :(

    Duster quarter window "hinge"

OK. I'm even more confused now. If I buy the Just Mopar or Steele Rubber replacements linked above, do I or do I not need the old Mylar kits?

    Duster quarter window "hinge"

Ah! It would be nice if ANYONE selling them actually noted that on their websites! What do you mean by an "old cheap reproduction set of Mylar"? @dadsbee

    Duster quarter window "hinge"

No, that's not what I need. I need the part that mounts the front of the quarter glass where it pivots on the B-pillar. The Mylar "hinge" that is called out in bold in the ad. Mopar A Body 70-76 Dart Sport, Demon, Duster Rear Pop Out Quarter Window Seals & Install Kit

    Duster quarter window "hinge"

I need the Mylar "hinge" assembly that Duster quarter windows open and close on, mine are fairly shot. (And by "fairly," I mean "completely.") I have found exactly one source: DMT, available only as part of a complete quarter window kit, which I do not need. Does anyone sell these separately? I...
