    1968 340 Plug Wire Bracket

If memory serves me correctly it was a 340 automatic piece to keep the plug wires off the kick down linkage. 340 4 speed didn't have it. Cliff Ramsdell

Will 225/70/14 tires fit on a stock 1969 Dart?

No fitment issues with quite a few road miles. 225/70/14 redline radials on stock 14x5.5 wheels. Some photos of a comparison with the E70-14 bias ply stock tires and same size wheels. Cliff Ramsdell

Trade my Highway 61 68 Hemi dart for a 340 4 speed GTS 1/18 Model

You are correct. I would do a repaint if need be to get what I want on the car, buckets, console, 4 speed, 340. Personally I like the 383 car because of the hub caps as opposed to the mag wheel covers. Thanks for the help guiding others in my search. Cliff Ramsdell

Trade my Highway 61 68 Hemi dart for a 340 4 speed GTS 1/18 Model

Hope this is fine here. Want to make a deal to swap my new Highway 61 blue Hemi dart number 50422 for another 1/18 scale 1968 340 4 speed GTS. Now that my old GTS came back home I would like a model close to the car. There have been some other metal 1/18 scale GTS models out there. So, pm me...

Any service managers or ex service mangers?

Mike, At the time the NVH guy and the drivability/electrical guy were not flat rate guys. As a matter of fact, in my 20 years with Chrysler, ‘84 to ‘04 we always had an hourly guy or two who did the jobs like that. Noise, Vibration, Harshness, water leaks, electrical issues and drivability...

Any service managers or ex service mangers?

As a former shop Forman and service manager at a Dodge dealership in the late 80’s and early 90’s we did a weekly production incentive of $100.00 to the top producing shop mechanic. It’s been awhile and time fades all the facts and details but it went to this effect. We were a flat rate shop...

    Duster windshield removal/replacement

We had the same issue with the Dart this summer coming back from Carlisle. The water comes in the lower corners and as pointed out, when the cars were new Mopar used bedding between the seal and the body to stop these leaks. The windshield was worse than the rear glass but both had issues...

Thanks Mike. Maybe you could move the whole thread over the “Manual transmission and clutch discussion “ section, kind of a mistake on my part. Cliff Ramsdell

Installing a Brewers Hurst / Inland conversion shifter

No, the lock out “T” handle is fixed in place with the set screw that usually retains the handle to the cable. The shifter uses the hurst spring loaded reverse lockout. Cliff Ramsdell

    1968 340 Correct Radiator Hoses

Came up empty handed. I messaged @71ChallengerSE a few times with no reply and he hasn’t been on here in a couple years. Close but no cigar. I would still like a pair for my GTS. Thanks to @68original for his input and pictures. Maybe a winter project when spare time is less limited. Cliff...

Dan Dvorak's shop in Waldo, FL is for sale

Try this guys, copy and paste the MLS number and select another realtor’s listing of the property. MLS F10397074 I guess property values are up everywhere and while the listing says it’s right off 301 this is a busy road but it’s a lot of the same daily traffic. Cliff Ramsdell

I met Dan a few times in the late 80’s and early 90’s when I worked as the shop Forman at Gainesville Dodge. I work with Mark Wilson who also lived in Waldo right around the corner and ran an original 64 aluminum nose max wedge Dodge in AS/A (steel nose at the time) Good times. Cliff Ramsdell

    Honestly...how good was the 318...mpg / durability / hp

The cruise control really helped too. The 999 transmission had a low 1st gear which helped launch the car with the 2.45 rear gear.

    Honestly...how good was the 318...mpg / durability / hp

Well, my 318 MPG story involved a 76 B1 blue duster. My end product was a 318 with the two barrel single plane intake, a carter BBD carb, 999 lockup transmission from a Dakota with a 2.76 1st gear, 2.45 gear 8 1/4” rear and factory 340 dual exhaust. I added cruise control from a dodge B van and...
