[WANTED] ALTERNATOR GAUGE DODGE DART SWINGER 1971

I did it, it wasnt that hard, taking the dash bezel out is the biggest pain(not bad though), but you would have to pull it anyways to replace the gauge right?

[WANTED] ALTERNATOR GAUGE DODGE DART SWINGER 1971

Have you considered doing the ammeter bypass in your car? If your gauge crapped out, why not just do the bypass and have a safer and more reliable system?

What is going on with Cudachick1968 (Leanna)

That is very sad news indeed. I never knew her, or even conversed with her, but from what I have gathered over my short time here, is that she is a very nice person, and it sucks when bad things happen to good people. My thoughts are with her as well.

    Breather blow by

Probably not. When I bought my Swinger, i noticed that it had oil leaking at the valve covers and distributor base, then noticed that it didnt have a pcv valve installed. So I put new valve covers on, and plumbed in a pcv valve and low and behold, the leaks stopped due to lower pressure...

@Oldmanmopar what paint system is that from? Also, is it catalyzed? Im always leary of applying a 1K paint on the exterior of a vehicle

    matte black hood

I talked to a local shop about doing it on my Swinger, they said not a problem, but he wasnt sure about the longevity of the cowl area because of the thinness of the grates, not a big area to stick to. So if you dont have a cowl to worry about its a fairly cheap and easy way to get the satin...

Son of a B part two

Its very cool to see a kid his age excited about classic cars, so many of them nowadays either dont give a rats *** about cars, or they want the fast and furious import stuff. Good for you man, I hope you two have a great time working on it!

They also carry PG Classics interior panels as well, does anyone have an opinion on them? I noticed that for the price of two Legendary door panels, PG Classics also includes the two rears as well.

Rubber tip on the brake rod

Its no secret that shipping costs nowadays are pretty outrageous, but even with the inflated shipping, its really not that expensive, especially to get a part that was made to fit and function properly. I also need one of these for my brake changeover, and Ill be buying a proper one rather than...

What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

    PDR on Old Metal?

A friend of mine has a PDR shop and is very good at it, he says old metal can definitely be PDR'd, just takes a little more effort because it is heavier/thicker. Not every ding can be fixed mind you, its like @junkyardhero said, there doesnt appear to be any hard creases in it, which is a plus...

Rallye Dash Gauges with aftermarket Wiring Harness

I wouldnt "hope" that the old factory IVR is good and bet your gauges on it, the conversion to the one @Dana67Dart and @67Dart273 told you about is inexpensive and very very simple to do. Personally, I went the RTE route and had no problems doing the conversion.
