I dont watch that but started to notice the problem about 8 years ago and as I said stopped using them 3 years ago. One of the tractors blew the muffler up from backfire.
Sounds to me you have trouble with the new China crap condenser. I had that problem on my old tractors with points and ended up buying old stock nos condensers to fix them. Some of the new ones lasted a 1/2 hour and some 3 days. No problems for the last 3 years now with new old stock.
Thats crazy. I would never think something like that would give enough to jump a car let alone more than once. I have this at home because I have used the same at work for years and it will start 3 semi`s in a row in the dead of winter with batteries showing less than 3 volts.
Schumaker DSR115...
True you just said what I said. lmao He has a 64 Valiant so it wont be a factory tach and the replacements had blue, red, black and a green wire meaning the green wire goes to the tach terminal.
I have bought the small block Chevy HEI units for my demo derby cars with a 350. They run as good as a stock unit and are only 35 bucks shipped complete cap and all. Crazy to think that includes the dist., module, cap, rotor, and coil.
I am having the same stumble, misfire, stalling in my old tractors I have tuned up. I have found do not use a new condenser as they fail around 10 hours of run time. Use only old ones made in the USA because I have had several sets of the new ones fail before finding old ones.
