Maybe I'm reading this wrong, bit Flexplate needs to be bolted to the back of the motor 1st

My suggestion is pull the w/p and elephant ears off, then pull engine and transmission together, providing you have enough room/height to do it

I got my cap from firecore

When I was running those MP valve covers, right at the corner where the distribution sits would hit causing the gasket to not fit correct. I trimmed that corner down some and it help with the leaks. Fyi I was running the thick gel pro rubber gaskets

I was running 1.55 springs with 10 degrees retainers

I ran there rockers on my Indy EZ headed motor. I also had to do some grinding on there rockers to clear my springs

Have you looked at Comps 829-B lifters that might be another option

Harland Sharp S70015KE - Harland Sharp Heavy-Duty Roller Rockers These are the 1's TF recommends using. Summit shows a price of ,$1000 and some change. Btw I'm using them with my TF 270 heads also

Thanks it was just a stock stroke 440 with EZ-1 heads, I sold that car for a B body

Ez-1 heads no problem with plug acess

Not sure of the budget your wanting to stay in and maybe overkill but TTI makes headers for BB a bodies and no cutting of your inner fenders and get tire clearance as Well

Thanks it was repainted a couple of times then I sold it 2017 to buy a street strip car I'm building now, but to help out the OP the combination was 452 rb stock stroke with Indy ez-1 best time was 10:10@132mph
