I have not rebuilt a TRW pump. But I have rebuilt Federals and Saginaws. I don't use any sealer on the new Tank O ring and have had no problems.
You must have a TRW pump. That’s the only one I’ve seen with that gasket.
PS pumps are vain pumps, they pump more only when the pump is turned faster. I believe this bypasses some of the pressure to the rerun line.
