    Running a lead parallel to a harness is a no no too. I gently welded door hinges together once. Ground on the body and welding on the door.:realcrazy:

    Thats a DVOM it uses diodes. 12.5 times .5 equals 6.25. 6.25 plus 12.5 equals 18.75. failed diode.

    Depress is not the right word. You are creating a ramp for the retaining tang to slide over it's retainer.

    I am no expert but grounding (not grounding) will find its way through other circuits and activate them seeking a ground unnecessary in that circuit
