I am just trying to figure out where all these average mopar guys are that are wanting to build a 600hp small block lol. If a mopar guy truly wants to build 600hp he isn't on this forum complaining about not having a head that will take stock style bolt on's and make 600hp, he has done his...
I just want to add that regardless of flow or performance or whatever, the trick flow actually is not an edelbrock copy, it is a much better designed casting than anything you mentioned.
Nope, got nothing to do with defending a friend, he can stand on his own. I got an alert and just had to bust out laughing at what you said, too rich to pass up!, I got things to do, enjoy your evening.
The thing is when you go public on a forum this big and complain about a person, a company or anything, you are stirring up a hornets nest no matter the reason for doing it.
The hughes rocker has no pushrod clearance due to centering the roller with stock rocker stand locations. The mancini rockers have pushrod clearance but the roller is off center to the outside making them seem effectively "longer", that is why they fit trickflow heads so well since they have...
Is this a factory magnum cam core?, I know Ken has had issues in the past with them being soft. they were having issues with the lobes failing during the regrind process and when they tried to weld them up they were like butter. This was a few years ago but that may be what he is referring to.
I forgot to mention I did have aftermarket upper control arms and a good alignment guy but the rest was stock. It was a 100% streetable car and drove great, I did a lot of long trips to the coast etc. for shows. It definitely was not a lot lower from stock and I only like a little rake so I...
Hopefully this helps but here is a pic of my old duster lowered 1" in the back with dr. diff offset hangers and 275/60/15s on 15x8 rims. I had to flatten the bulge in the wheel well above the wheel lip and trim the wheel lip a bit but everything cleared well.
I understand but the blocks I have are rotoblasted, mag'd and sonic tested and the price would reflect that. The other thing is just how thick you are looking for, I have one that is at or over .200 everywhere but does need a repair, most of mine fall in the 180-190ish average range when all...
I have a 72 dart setup identical to what you are talking about, dana 60 moved back 1.25, caltrac setup with sliders etc. I drive it a ton on the street and a fair amount on the freeway and I can say I think it drives better than it did with all the stock stuff. Is your car painted green go...
last time I needed a single ring I called total seal, they will get you what you need, not super cheap but it will be correct, if you do call ask for August, he's a mopar guy.
Nice!, if I had the time to do it I would just follow through on our dyno but time equals money and I am short on both lol. It would be awesome to compare his dyno results to ours though, what an interesting bunch of info that would be!.
@NC Engine Builder I wish you were not so far away, Tim and I would jump in and help out. I have been planning for this same test for a while now and would only be missing the bloomer heads at this point. I have literally every other head you mentioned and more including a fresh 410 short block...
A lot depends on the type of clutch you are running, if you don't have an adjustable one than check out the clutch tamer @weedburner . I went with a dana 60 @Newbomb Turk s advice since he figured I would be stepping up the power levels later and it turned out to be sooner so he was right.
To the op I would set the compression around 10.5 and put a solid flat tappet cam in (something close to these two) and run it.

I have one in my car and have been happy with it. I have been beating on it a fair amount over three years and it still looks good, not many miles on it though, still isn't completely broken in lol. I will be running it in a couple weeks with what should be close to 600hp and a clutch tamer so...
You should have seen the group of them heading into renegade on Friday night before the mopar drags. We were behind them at the gates and we all just started laughing our asses off at the customized plates and corvette hats. At the end of the day I am all for whatever someone wants to do and it...
Leave it to you to talk about corvette guys on a mopar forum. You sure seem to know a lot about chevy folks, jeesh, next thing we know you will be doing threads on porting LS heads
