    Yep...another request for camshaft suggestions.

I had the same combo, no porting, but with a 3 angle valve job and "decked" 675 heads.I used the .028 head gasket to boost the compression a little. There were "supply chain" issues and I took a chance on what was available at the time and it's working great. The cam and lifters were a kit and I...

    Worn Power Gear Worth

I swapped the sloppy, leaky 2PS gear for manual steering on my 74 Duster. I know they have value as a core, but I'm never going back to Mopar power steering and have a couple others laying around. I also have worn leaf springs, torsion bars, bent strut rods...any value in them.

    parts prices ...

Not sure but probably more than we'd like. I always get sticker shock at the local hardware store when just buying nuts and bolts for projects. The other day it was $20 for 4 - 5/16" x1.5" bolts and nuts for the sleeves when replacing the tie rod ends on my van. It was over $200 for the tie rod...

Pivot shaft & poly bushings mystery

I had a new rubber Moog bushing give way while driving my Roadrunner, scary even at 40 mph. It may have been faulty or it may have been user error as I've never been sure how or when to tighten to adjust the ride height when rebuilding with rubber suspension parts. I have rebuilt and replaced...

    Lower Control arm Tools

I don't have it any longer but I made a nice press out of lumber that worked quite well for many years. I posted in the homemade tool thread about it. I've used pipe nipples, sockets, nuts washers and bolts to remove and install both upper and lower control arm bushings as well as torch...

Getting rid of the bumpers reinforcement and 4 heavy *** shocks shaves quite a bit of weight from the car too

    Tucking factory 74 bumpers

I left the filler in the front, because with out it there was an ugly gap on the top and sides. I left in as it mimics the front valance on my 70. The back is a different story though, which may be in a little too far. They are definitely too wide and I may eventually section the front to tuck...

    Tucking factory 74 bumpers

I did something similar on the rear. They look much better moved in. They are a bit wide and stick out some on the sides though.

    489 case diff build

Are you talking about washers or shims? If you look at Dr Diff's minimum install kit it includes everything you need, including pinion nuts and washers as well as the shims which you need to set the front bearing pre load. It also has shims that go under the back bearing to set the pinion depth...

    What is missing here?

Yes, upon further investigation I found this to be true. I apologize for being a dick, but honestly whenever I see someone recommend looking in a service manual or downloading that Chrysler service stuff it just gives me a bad attitude.

    What is missing here?

I'm looking to put this 904 transmission into my 74 Duster. Just in front of tail shaft there is an empty threaded hole. What is it for and what is missing? A threaded plug, for band adjustment? Thanks

    Dashboard voltage limiter?

I may have skipped that and went right to the pictures. I didn't see it mentioned or portrayed in the video either. I don't recall seeing it done before on the few gauge clusters I've "worked" on, is this standard practice? Before I put everything back together I want to make sure to do it...
