    Random pictures thread

An ad showed up this week on Kijiji for a 74 Charger with a price of either $75k or $85k. After I picked myself up from the floor, I read through it. Car has a 3rd gen hemi swap, but little to no interior, maybe it's just me, but that seems 'just a bit outside' in terms of values. I'll see if I...

5x4" Drum to Disc Brake conversion

Check out Doctor Diff for more options. Before you put money into a rear disc brake conversion, you may want to consider upgrading the rear differential. It is most likely going to be a 7.25 inch unit if still original, which will not stand up to much more power than what the 318 made dead...

Welcome from Southern Alberta. Nice Dart! A green 1970 Custom, much like what I had. Check out the classifieds section for parts, lots of good people here and usually there are some parts for sale. Much better than it was when I was doing my Dart in the late 90s/ early 2000s. Member Hemi71X...

how old where you when you first work on a car

I was probably about 9 when my old man brought home a nearly new 1971 Mercury Meteor 4 door hardtop that had a couple of burned valves in the 351 Cleveland. Helped him pull the heads off, (mostly as the tool gopher) and reinstall them after the neighborhood machine shop was done with them. That...

    parts prices ...

$89.95 About 15 years ago I was rebuilding a late model Chevy Malibu for my stepson and the little plastic bowtie emblem for the grille was almost $70.00, dealer item only. No thanks, we'll just call it a no name brand car.

    I gambled this afternoon.....

I've had that argument with more than one tire shop, it makes no sense to me why anyone would require that new tires be installed on the rear axle. One place tried to tell me that it's because of the potential for hydroplaning, that if the rear end has traction it is easier to maintain control...

    NHL 2024-25

Looking forward to seeing the Jets make it at least three rounds, going all the way would be great, just as long as they don't **** the bed against the Blues after the exceptional regular season they had.

I had a set of those long ago. One got broken on a snowy night after a lot of beer, damned if I can remember what happened to the other three. I had the center caps too.

    Bad day at the "office".

That kind of scenario is always in the back of my mind any time I run a two lane highway, which is nearly every day. Truly hope the driver is unhurt, but I would expect there will be some mental trauma from the experience.
