    Rollmaster timing gear question

Good Day Your never to old to screw up. I purchase a Rollmaster 5300 timing set for use in a 87 D150. The screw up came when I installed the crank gear. To many possibilities and I THOUGHT I was lining up on the '0' for the crank gear, but, alas, I was wrong. To compound the screw-up I...

[FOR SALE] 64 Dart GT Parting out.

Well is a winter project; adapting to graft a flip open gas cap to a 67 Dart. What I don't know is if the mounting distance from the flange that bolts to the quarter panel to the end of the pipe (gas cap) is the same for both the Dodge and Plymouth pipes. I am assuming (relying of memory and...

[FOR SALE] 64 Dart GT Parting out.

Thank you for the prompt reply. Are they both the same? I thought the Barracudas were different because of the flip open gas cap.

    Head Rests

Appreciate the responses. Haven't disassembled anything yet to verify if it's possible. As the '67 headrests are a one year only, this might be academic exercise. One year only items make this a challenge. '64 Dart

    Head Rests

Good Day All Have a '67 Dart with bucket seats no head rests. Toying with the idea of adding headrests. Does the entire seat need replaced or just the seat backs? Thanks to all who respond. '64 Dart

    Door Emblem R&R

Good Morning Thanks for the pics. The 'stud' that I'm dealing with is approx. half the height of the stud in the back ground. It may be possible to find some round stock, or thick wall metal tubing to JB weld it to the emblem. Another possibility would be to use a solid stud with counter...

    Door Emblem R&R

Good Morning I had thought of drilling/taping, 'push' nuts/JB weld or one of the newer 3M adhesives, or a combination. Not planning on taking them off again. Just looking for ideas as I'm sure that I'm not the only one who has dealt with this situtation. In the worst case senerio, how did...

    Door Emblem R&R

Good Evening All Along with my vapor barrier question (which I do want to thank those who responded) , I have another question. The '67 Dart GT has door emblems that are riveted to the panel. I am replacing panels due to the PO installing door speakers. ($400 for a set of panels, but I...

    Vapor (Water) Shields

Thanks 70SwingerGuy for the link. They show shields for the Barracuda but not for the Dart in '67. I'll call them Monday and pick their brain. Thanks again '64 Dart

    Vapor (Water) Shields

Good Evening All Are there any sources for the water shields that go behind the door panels for our beloved Mopar A bodies? I can find lots of sources for GM a bodies but zippo for Ma Mopar. I can make what I need, but would like to find 'plug/n/play' ones for a '67 Dart Convertible...

    Temp sensor question

Good Afternoon The factory gauge is electric. A mechanical gauge, if installed, offers a backup.

    Temp sensor question

As an aside the peanut head does have a divot close to the thermostat housing that could be drilled/tapped for a mechanical gauge.

    Temp sensor question

I wasn't aware that a 1/8 npt would accommodate a mechanical gauge. I thought they were in the 3/8 range.

    Temp sensor question

Good Morning all I was going out to the man cave to take a pic of the head. When I turned on the lights there it was bold as brass a 1/8 hole for a temp sender. I WAS looking at a heater hose opening. As this is the first 'peanut head' that I have owned the temp sender was apparently moved...

    Temp sensor question

Good Evening Thanks for the reply. So 10 to 70 Ohms is the range. That is what I needed to know. Haven't had much success finding out anything on the net. Thanks again

    Temp sensor question

Good Day It depends on the Ohms value. That was the nice thing about the buyers guide, it gave you all that info. The Dart has a gauge not a light.

General engine question for slant six wizards

May be a long shot, but have you looked for the build sheet? Usually found tucked under the rear seat springs. If that is also gone then no way that I know of. 198's were USUALLY for fleet sales. Good Luck and God Speed. '64 DART

    Temp sensor question

Good Day All and Happy New Year. Installing a late 70's /6 with the 'peanut plug' head into a '67 Dart. The later head is tapped for a 3/8 pipe temp sender. The '67 sending unit is 1/8 pipe sender. Any suggestions on a 3/8 sender that would be compatible for a '67gauge? I would prefer not to...

AC Car.. Drop In or Piece it Together AC System

I to toyed with idea of the classic air unit in a '67 Dart convertible. Ultimately decided against it only because of all the duct work that they use. With the wiper linkage under the dash, there is limited room to route additional duct. I learned this the hard way after installing their unit...
