And before anyone bags me, YES.....I have tried searching for the answer, but I'm either typing the wrong question, or the search thing is stuffed. So.......is anyone able to simply tell me what type of carb a 65 Formula S is meant to have. ? Carter AVS......but what number ??? That's all...

65 Barracuda - Advice on where to get stuff - door trims, carpet etc

65 Barracuda - Advice on where to get stuff - door trims, carpet etc

I think I’ll try Phoenix for the stripes. I used them before on a 71 Superbee I had…..pretty good.

I don’t think much is. Different interiors, grille, seats…..they just look similar.

65 Barracuda - Advice on where to get stuff - door trims, carpet etc

Thanks for the reply......I've thought of getting trim done here, but the fact is they wouldn't be able to make the patterns here or have the right grains of vinyl either. Even carpet can't be moulded here.....just sewn in, and I much prefer moulded if I can. I may not have enough time to get...

65 Barracuda - Advice on where to get stuff - door trims, carpet etc

Hi guys, I'm in the process of importing a 65 Barracuda. Because they don't sell ANY stuff here in Australia, I'm planning on getting some items and having them shipped over at the same time. I was hoping I could get some advice on best places to get stuff ? I'm thinking First Place Auto for...

    OK....another decoding question.......

To everyone who replied here - thanks very very much. I have learnt heaps just from your posts, not just the codes but reasons this decode is maybe different to other models. This is a car I'm considering getting, and just wanted to see what it was meant to have. I've never considered the...

    OK....another decoding question.......

G'day guys, I've been looking everywhere to try and decode this tag, and haven't got a reply because I think I posted in the wrong section. It's off a 1964 Barracuda. YES.....I have tried finding a decode site or at least something that will help, but I've drawn blank. This tag seems...

    What "makes" a 66 Barracuda a Formula S ??

Thanks heaps everyone. I really do appreciate all the input, and actually learning stuff along the way. One car I’ve seen is listed as a Barracuda with Factory S options. Im pretty certain that doesn’t mean it’s a Formula S. Something I learnt here.

This seems to be the case, I’m finding.

    What "makes" a 66 Barracuda a Formula S ??

I think I have it......on the vin will read BP29....which means : Make = B - Barracuda Series Number = P - Barracuda (1966) 3rd & 4th digit Body Style = 29 - "Sports" Coupe (as opposed to simply "coupe") That's from the Early Cuda website and trying to make sense of it. Even then it doesn't...

    What "makes" a 66 Barracuda a Formula S ??

I'm literally trying to search for answers as we speak. Some literature says what you said.....it'll have the 273 Commando, 4 barrell.....upgraded suspension.....sway bar....but surely any car could have ticked those boxes - or maybe not ??? And the tacho.....

    What "makes" a 66 Barracuda a Formula S ??

Hi all, it may be a strange question, but is there anything on a 66 Barracuda that officially makes it a Formula S ? Is there anything on the fender tag, or VIN plate ? Or is it just a case of if it was optioned with certain things it WAS a Formula S. I ask because I have seen a couple of...

1962 Valiant Suspension/Brake Swap Options with other A-bodies

G'day mate, Look, I'm in Australia, but we got those cars down here and a lot of guys have done a lot of things to the over the years. I had a 62 for almost 30 years. 1962 Valiant Signet 200

it’s incredible just how many differences there are between the 60/61 cars and the 62’s. ive just finished a 61 after owning a 62 for almost 30 years…..I was gobsmacked. In relation to the original post, that’s a great car to restore. The side profile of the two door models is great.

    1961 / 1962 Valiants at a car show today.

Well.....that's the other thing. People going over there on purely money making exercises. Not just enthusiasts trying to fix their old chariots - cashing in on dirt cheap bits and putting 1000% mark up on them when they return.

    1961 / 1962 Valiants at a car show today.

Mate.....you have to understand that the conversion rate is killing Aussies at the moment. $1 Aus is about 65 cents U.S. But.....things cost about the same. Then there's a 10% tax on the purchase price AND shipping, then there's the new checks for cars that are this old....then there's...

Hi guys, I know they're not real big over there, but down here in Australia 60-62 Vals are a bit of a collector piece. Today in my State we had the All Chrysler day, and I tried my hand at a Facebook video of our cars. Doesn't go for long, but thought some may like it. Peter

    Early A-Bodies

I just stumbled onto this thread......glad I did. You guys should bring your cars to Australia - the A body cars are loved here. I reckon 80% of cars at Chrysler/Mopar events are A bodies. Mainly because that's what we "got" here.

Speaker grill for ‘62 Dodge Lancer and Valient

Should do, yep. But there’s another place that make a couple that look really authentic. Made of light metal, but really neat. I’ll have to keep looking. Those links were just ones I remembered.

Speaker grill for ‘62 Dodge Lancer and Valient

Pretty sure they've been available in Australia for a while now as a reproduction item. I know some place does them like the original material, but there's also these ones.... PAINTABLE SPEAKER GRILLE : RV1/SV1 VALIANT (retrosoundusa.com.au) STAINLESS-STEEL SPEAKER GRILLE : RV1/SV1 VALIANT...
