I just purchased a radio pulled from a 71 Duster.. and it has the chrome buttons. And according to the post halifaxhops shared, that's the correct one. I have a 72 Demon and now I'm thinking I may have bought the wrong one not realizing the 72's might have the black buttons. Not a huge deal...

Some radios I've seen for sale have chrome buttons and some have black. They're listed for the same years. Anyone know the difference..? Deluxe interior get the chrome buttons and standard get the black, perhaps..? Is it a year thing and some ads are wrong for listing the wrong year..? Would...

So, there's been some good responses and educational information...but, is there a problem or issue with the new MC not having the "extra hole" that my original has... and, what is that "extra hole" there for..?

Just received my aftermarket M.C.. Comparing it to my OEM one I noticed an extra, "hole" in the rear brake reservoir. Can anyone tell me what that extra hole is for and is it necessary. Manual Drum system. Aftermarket on left, OEM on right.

I thought it may have been for fog lights or something a previous owner just installed.. Them fog lights were kinda popular back in the day.

I'm guessing it's not necessary and I could just leave it off..? There was no map light attached anywhere when I removed the dash. I also don't remember my Demon from way back having the switch or light. I could be wrong though, that was 40 years ago.

It's definitely been a learning process...and you're right. The interior is just about all back together and installed, and imperfections aside, there's a great satisfaction in knowing I've done everything by myself. Hell, even a few of the new repop stuff I've purchased is not even perfect...
