It's on CL on the upper West Coast - not mine but thought I'd mention it. For that part of the world it really doesn't look that bad. It has the 273 Comando with a Holley on top.....with a 4 speed it might just have a 8 3/4 under it. Go look and it the engine turns - that's not to bad a price at...

Yep....just a upgrade package from the manufactor.....kinda like all the braces the Stang needed as you added HP.....not a trip to Shelby land .

I Like.....what I'm seeing are the optional power brakes you don't see to often - power steering - which it doesn't need - dash pad that you don't see that often and the wood wheel which are options. The fender looks like it has the right holes for the Form S badge. Not sure what your not seeing...

Does the bellhousing fit up to the transmission ? Looks like you have the overdrive 4 speed which reqires the right bellhousing first.

Guess you had to be a kid in 1970/71 when it was on tour to like it.....like I was.....

Funny.....I've owned them all Early A, B's and C's and although I'd get some thumbs up for my C bodies.....not going to count the B's....it's my early A bodies I like and get the most thumbs ups....they are that rare compared to the others. Oh...and I've owned a nice orginal 1965 2+2 basic...

The top photo is a factory drilled standard steel crank and the bottom is a 360 auto cast crank using a factory input shaft off a four speed for measurements I used - which is a little pitted for use.....maybe this might help or not.....

Thanks for the replies - have the plates on used manifolds but using a NOS 273 manifold on this build that didn't come with one.

Anyone selling the plate and or the rivets ? Did a small search and didn't see anything.

Thanks all for the input - kinda what I thought - not using the input shaft in the picture or the cut off one on a date coded 4/1963 4 sp trans for a big block. It's got the trunnion on it and bought it in about 1977 - yep just dug it out the other day for a guy building a Max wedge clone.

Good to hear ! I have acquired some Ross 60 over pistons - minus one.....and some early Isky cam - springs and lifters....these were purchased for a 273 build on a 1967 Cuda that never happened. Hope to get another piston from Ross and build the original motor that was in my 1965 Formula S.

Think it might come down to insurance - pretty sure they were wise by 1965.......

Yep....also if you guys see a 65/66 fold down back panel - like this - it also was cut out like the carbon spare tire cover for the 14 wheel. Just a note - the photo is up side down - and just throwing some stuff out there as if you find a car that perhaps is stripped of some of the parts - or...

Not that it matters so much - not any one would notice. The 65 emblem ending number is 42 - this was off my first S car that was parted out in 1975.

Oh...on that 1965 Form S emblem - the pins are horizontal - and the rest - 1966 up are vertical - of course the 1969 trunk emblem is by itself.

See you still have the correct spare tire cover - it had the half C cut out for the larger wheel.....kinda hard to find those. Really nice car there !

Oh - thanks for the info and correction on the 66 cars....the 66 S I got was wrecked hard - so it was stripped and gone.
