By disconnected I mean I took off coil wire to distributor and placed tip near metal to test for spark. Then it proceeded to produce an endless stream of spark when cranking. Too much spark. Should have been more clear.

i removed those pins because i believe that's what the instructions called for.

I just placed an order for said dowel pins. And good call with the fel pro just in case something is still wrong.

The intake is aftermarket. It’s an rpm airgap. I do not believe the head or block has been milled. And I have no idea why the pins were missing. The previous owner of the car was a wacko.

Forgot to mention this is a mild 360 build with stock pistons. Any recommendations for a certain head gasket?
