For small block not much choices to make that have sold body to run not bushed. Beside the 828 any recommendation?
I forgot your's a big block
If you are going to bush them, them us the BAM lifter if they are still good. They are good lifters just need bush the lifter bores.
You're not bushed with MRL(BAM) lifters is why you have low oil pressure at idle I beat. I have the same issue. I am being tear down this weekend....
I am finally taking mine apart this week to inspect. Hopefully everything is ok. I did not run it long. Going to install comps lifters 828 also...
Did anyone find the rockers in the catalog?
I looked in a 75 79 and a 82 nothing
I just did a street car W2 build, I went solid roller
Thats only a 1/4 mile at a time. Street drive is a lot harder on stuff. I did not do on mine but I wished I did.
I would do it. It helps with oil control and corrects geometry of the lifter to the cam, Also helps with the pressure on the lifter bearing...
I would sleeve your lifter bores if you use them.
I think he is still on this site just under a different name.
They also have problems on the underside most on the back ones
if you're not using a solid body lifter bush the lifter bores
Looked in an old catalog the rocker shafts are TA but did not have the rockers. My buddy has a 78 catalog that he is going to check.
no luck yet. my buddy has some books also.
I have a couple of old catalogs I will check for you
passenger side has the vin on it
whats the vin on the block?
Not going to change the oil, I think it will be a waste of money. I think with straight 30 the pressure when cold should be a lot higher. Going in...
From what I have read and heard is a 30 to 40 thousand hole
I don't think its the oil but going to use Spectro
Motor-Guard | Spectro Performance Oils
