Is the seal really rubber, or just another Viton seal being called rubber. Rubber does not handle heat very well, as anybody who has stripped down an engine with rubber valve seals knows. I like the brown Silicon seals.

With re-ground cams, you are limited by how much you can change the LSA from the original LSA of the cam...because the metal has already been removed. Doing so will result in a very small lobe

No you can't do that in the car. The reverse idler shaft needs to be pressed out of the case to get the pivot shaft out. That's why the reverse o-ring never gets changed, and now with the aging they all seem to leak there.

That oil pan will not fit a bb a-body.

I wondered also why the electronic reg is needed. My guess is that it reduces the amplitude [ size ] of voltage changes in the charging system, maintaining a more stable voltage; electronics do not like voltage spikes.

Schumacher says that it's a 67 to 73 C body bb pan, not saying it's not the right pan. Seems like they used C body parts for BB A body parts

9k miles Superbird. Owners were told the emissions sticker was placed upside down. I object! It's as it was placed by the dude who placed it there at the exact time it was originally placed there. So it's correct.

So if an aftermarket manufacturer was making a shroud I suspect they would not put part numbers or logos on it as that could get them in trouble. but if a person was trying to sell the part and say it was OEM it would be difficult to put raised letters etc on it vs melting letters etc into it
