Yes vin numbers on the core support and trunk lip wasn't until 69 and later.
Not necessary, I never replaced them in 48 years working on them.
Either with a press or cut off wheel and a chisel.
And don't expect them to slip right out, I've had to hammer on them hard to get them out.
8 1/4", 9 1/4" has C-clips. 7 1/4", 8 3/4" axle held in with nuts and bolts.
That is what I was pointing out, a way that works on any brand or size engine. The way I learned as a newby back in 1971. No I'm not trying to...
And yes I have a complete 3/4" socket arrangement, Even some 1" drive stuff.
So your at the track and #6 intake adjuster came loose or wasn't tightened down properly in the first place. Are you going to go thru the whole...
What? your putting the socket on the crank 8 times and watching for the 90* mark 7 times. But hey do it your way, It is JMO!
You will have to turn it over by hand unless you can bump it over in exact 90* increments.
I have done it this way, but requires to much turning of the engine by hand. I'd rather use the EOIC method.
This is the way I was taught and I have been doing it this way since Moby Dick was a minow!

I have the same pan except mine is a 30935 in my 68 416 Barracuda. Are you using the stock K-member or a RMS type? I had to notch my pan to clear...

Looks good in the picture. Wonder what if anything the new paint is hiding?
Not to kick you when your down but your not talking about a real desirable car that needs by your own admission a lot of work! You say the engine...
Depends on your end goal and your budget?
As mentioned loosen the two bolts just a small amount. With the engine running, tap the valve forwards or backwards to center the wheel. After it...
I've done that in my life, a few times!
Is it because there is physically not room to remove the filter from the car and reinstall?
This is why I went with 15x6 Pro Stars and 215x60x15 tires on the RMS front end with Wilwood brakes and the tires fit great and look great. I also...
What? I have a 68 Barracuda with the RMS front suspension and Wilwood brakes. I run 15x6 Pro Star wheels with 215x60x15 tires. Works great.
