[WANTED] 90 Degree oil filter adapter for 5.9 Magnum

You need part # 2463661. It's the one on the right in the pic, and is a TRUE 90 degree adapter. The later one's like on the left in the pic are not 90 degrees and will put the oil filter into the frame rail in an Early A body. Pic of that adapter on my 273, with Dougs D453's just hanging on it...

RANT-It never fails/par for the course

No lie! I'm 68 and probably have most every magazine I've ever bought. I did finally ditch the boxes full of Hemmings Motor News. It was like getting a new phone book every month...lol.

1968 Dodge D200 with a 318 from who knows where

All Mopar engines All Mopar engines have a stamping on the front of the block below the drivers side head. It was stamped at the engine assembly plant and has nothing to do with the VIN. VIN's will be stamped on the motor/trans flange in 68, and on the machined pad above the passenger side of...

Nice job! I'm guessing a mechanical fuel pump won't fit behind it though.

1968 Dodge D200 with a 318 from who knows where

The VIN on a 68 Motor and transmission is stamped on the top of the flange where the motor and bellhousing bolt together. It's usually kind of down behind the distributor. No VIN's were stamped below the head. Later than 68 VIN's stamped on motors was stamped into a machined pad on the passenger...

RANT-It never fails/par for the course

MCG has a pretty small staff, considering the quality of magazine they put out. They are the last man standing as far as Mopar magazines go. I just called and renewed for 5 years a while back because I've missed them at a show more than once and got caught scrambling like the OP. If I'm not...

    Derlin Tuff Wheel adapter

There are 2 different Tuff Wheel adapters from the factory. The ones that came in cars have a master spline. The ones that came in trucks do not have a master spline. A car adapter won't fit onto a truck steering column shaft and a truck adapter won't fit onto a car steering shaft.

    1974 Dodge Dart Sport rebuild

The top pic shows an A body 318 manifold on the left. The one beside it might be a 340 manifold of some sort, but you need to flip it over and post another pic of it so we can better advise.

    Cleaning Automotive Glass

Late September of 2005, I was headed to Texas in a big convoy of bucket trucks to work after Hurricane Rita. We ran thru Love Bugs somewhere in Louisiana. I bought a 16 oz Coke and sprayed it on the windshield and it cleaned them nasty little bastards right off there!

Best place to purchase 318 crate engine ?

I bought a 4.7 from Powertrain Engines about 7 years ago and haven't had any trouble out of it. I've put 70K miles on it. They offer a good warranty also. Going by the experience I've had from the 4.7, I'd buy from them again in a heartbeat...

    Cleaning Automotive Glass

I use either Windex or Sprayway glass cleaner from Dollar Tree and newspaper to clean the car windows with. I use one sheet to clean with and another to dry. I also use RainX on the outsides. I put it on the glass and let it dry, then polish it off. Then I clean the wiper blades and use the...

    Questionable decisions!

I honestly don't know if there's such a thing as a 727 lockup style transmission or not? They made a 904 lockup trans that was designated a 999, so it may be possible. Post a pic of the input shaft of your 727 and we can see if it's a lockup.
